Pickled Pink Breast Health Initiative was founded in 2024 by the Salartash Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Atlantic County, New Jersey.

Inspired by the personal journey of our founder, a breast cancer survivor, Pickled Pink was created with a simple but powerful mission: to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone. We understand that the challenges of a diagnosis extend far beyond medical treatment. The financial, emotional, and practical burdens can be overwhelming for patients and their families.

Through the generosity of our donors and community partners, we provide meaningful support that helps ease those burdens. Our assistance includes transportation to medical appointments and treatments, wigs, post-surgical garments, meal assistance, and other everyday necessities that allow patients to focus on healing.

We also believe that moments of joy and hope are an essential part of the healing journey. That's why we partner with the hospitals we serve to provide breast cancer patients and a loved one with 2 tickets to Philadelphia 76ers games (through the generous donation of one of our board members), creating unforgettable experiences and a much-needed opportunity to celebrate life beyond cancer.

During the holiday season, our Pickled Pink Holiday Initiative brings comfort and joy to families facing financial hardship. Each year, hospitals help identify patients in need to receive a complete holiday experience, including a decorated holiday tree, a holiday meal, and gifts for their children, ensuring they can create lasting memories during a difficult time.

At Pickled Pink, every dollar donated directly impacts the lives of individuals and families navigating breast cancer. Together, we are providing practical support, restoring hope, and reminding every patient that their community is standing beside them—every step of the way.
